Meson Sabika Wedding // Naperville, IL
There’s something about jewel tones & the autumn season that make them just perfect for each other! Deep berry hues merge with feminine gold sparkle to create an absolutely magical wedding. These two hit it off with just the right balance of glitz and sparkle paired nicely with some fabulous chic and rustic décor. And we have to admit, we are smitten with the end result! Gina & Alex celebrated their nuptials at the gorgeous & incredible, Meson Sabika in Naperville, IL (our all-time favorite place to dine, hello DELICIOUS!) Gina completed her look wearing one of our faves, Jasmine Couture Style T162001– a beautifully beaded gown with a sexy yet elegant illusion neckline- this gown meshes perfectly with the couple’s inspiration and décor, truly embodying sophisticated romance.
We are still ooh-ing and ahh-ing from this wedding and absolutely loved being there to capture everything! We wish you two the very best!
From the bride herself:
THE Dress
“When I initially started shopping for a wedding gown I was looking for more of a form fitting lace gown, but as soon as I saw my dress hanging among all the others, I fell in love with it! I think it was because of the way the top shimmered in the light with all the crystals. I loved shopping at Jasmine because of how friendly and personal the staff made the experience. I felt like they knew me and were truly excited for me!
Let’s just say, I knew my dress was “the one” when I came out of the dressing room and saw the expression on my mom and grandma’s faces. And the tears on their cheeks. :)”
The Theme
“The color scheme of our wedding was plum and gold. We were looking for a fairy tale type atmosphere with a lot of warmth and class. We used a wine theme and had wine corks as place card holders and our guest’s tables were named after different wines.”
The Romance
“We both have the same goofy & weird sense of humor. We make each other laugh all the time. I knew I was in love when he didn’t judge me after I said I like the smell of skunks.”
The Proposal
“We were getting ready to go on a weekend trip for the 4th of July holiday. We had the whole car packed up with all of our bags and stopped at Wendy’s (where our first date took place) for lunch. He asked me to dig through one of the bags in the backseat for his phone charger. Needless to say, there was no phone charger in the bag but I did find a very beautiful and shiny ring!”
Final Thoughts:
“The day went great, largely in part due to Chelsea from Jasmine Galleria’s help! She was amazing and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. My favorite part of the whole day (other than the “I do” part), was walking into the reception and seeing how beautiful everything came together! It’s hard to imagine the finished product when you plan it all in pieces.
Make sure to take in every second of the experience. It’s hard to do when all the attention is on you! The hardest part was keeping everything organized and figuring out where to start. I had no idea what I was doing.”
Advice:
-
Find someone to help with the details on the day of. I don’t know what I would have done without Chelsea! She really took a lot of pressure off of me and made sure I didn’t have to worry about anything.
-
Eat your whole dinner.
-
Take a step back during the night to take everything in and realize how amazing the whole experience has really been!
Congrats Gina & Alex!
We wish you two a lifetime of love & happiness!
