Wedding Wednesday: Gina & Brian 10.12.13

words

When my best friend got engaged last year, I might have been just as excited as her.  As a lover of bridal fashion, I started thinking immediately of what Jasmine style she should wear on her big day (no pressure on her, of course…).  I patiently waited until she figured out the initial details of her big day and then it was finally time to go dress shopping!  We high-tailed it over to Jasmine Galleria with her mom, and I was all sorts of jealous/happy for her as she tried on gorgeous gown after gorgeous gown.

Gina and Brian met on Halloween in 2006 at a house party.  Gina was dressed as the cop from The Village People and Brian was Wayne from Wayne’s World.  They were introduced by a mutual friend and they talked to each other all night…and then…nothing.  The two became friends but despite my insistence that they were perfect for each other, it wasn’t until 2010 that they actually started dating. Brian proposed on the ice rink at Millennium Park in January on 2013, and the couple tied the knot in October of 2013.

Gina looked stunning in a Silk Charmeuse and Swarovski Crystal accented Jasmine Couture gown, style T152017. The slimming silhouette elongated her petite frame, and the hand-sewn crystals on the open back added the perfect amount of bling to her bridal look. Her wedding day style was completed by a custom veil hand made by her talented aunt, and a jeweled hair clip by Haute Bride from Jasmine Galleria.

“I loved my dress from Jasmine, it was perfect! I felt so comfortable and it was exactly what I was looking for, just my style. The back was absolutely stunning, simply gorgeous. I couldn’t have imagined my special day wearing anything else.” -Gina

Thoughtful details that were reminiscent of Gina’s Italian heritage were included in their wedding-each guest received a beautifully packaged bottle of olive oil as a favor, and of course, Jordan Almonds were given out (It wouldn’t be a proper Italian wedding without them!). Guests were treated to a top-notch meal and a sweets table that included a chocolate fountain and Italian pastries.

I know I’m a little biased because she’s my best friend, but trust me when I say that hers was one of the best weddings that I have ever attended, and she was one of the most stunning brides that I have ever seen.

Congratulations Gina & Brian, we wish you the best!
