The recent one-year anniversary of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary had Jasmine’s employees remembering the event with somber hearts. We were pleased to be able to contribute to the Sandy Hook Family Fund which helps the families that lost loved ones on that sad day last year.

The Plunge for Sandy Hook took place last week- Lauren Morehouse, from our Premier Store, Julie Allen Bridals in Newton, Connecticut, jumped into the chilly Lake Compounce with her team Chocolate Mingo (named for Sandy Hook’s principal’s love of Chocolate and Vicki Soto’s love of flamingos) to raise money for the families and support the cause.  This fundraiser was a success, raising over $25,000 for the families that lost their loved ones. The employees of Jasmine were happy to contribute to the cause, and happy that Lauren Morehouse (pictured below with red hair), made it out of that lake with a smile on her face.
